Highlights
As Tens of thousands of displaced individuals continue to shelter in temporary sites and makeshift structures following recent disasters, UNHCR is closely monitoring the forecast of severe monsoon conditions expected to affect several regions across Myanmar. Heavy rains, strong winds, and the potential for flash floods and landslides pose serious risks to already vulnerable communities. In coordination with national and international partners, UNHCR is preparing to respond swiftly to emerging needs, ensuring that affected populations receive timely protection and life-saving assistance.
To date, over 110,300 individuals have received assistance from UNHCR and partners. More than 116,000 people have been reached through protection monitoring and assessments, which continue to guide targeted support for the most vulnerable, including those with specific needs.
