Highlights:

• Starting from 8 September 2024, strong winds and heavy rainfall triggered by Typhoon Yagi affected 9 states/ regions in Myanmar.

• Floods and landslides caused significant damage to agricultural lands, road networks, telecommunications and electricity across all 9 state and regions.

• Thousands of houses damaged or destroyed, including MRCS branch office at Tachileik (Eastern Shan).

• An Emergency Appeal is being launched by IFRC to assist at least 25,000 affected people.
