The Myanmar Humanitarian Fund (MHF) mobilizes resources for partners to respond to the critical humanitarian needs in Myanmar. In 2017, a total of US$9.8 million has been allocated to 25 projects targeting 443,300 persons, of which 54% are women and girls, and 49%, children and adolescents under 18. It provided funding to both national and international humanitarian organizations to respond to crises in Rakhine, Kachin and Shan states, as well as supporting the priorities set out in the Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) and responding to cyclone Mora in Rakhine. Allocations targeted both for internally displaced persons and the host communities, across targeted areas in clear linkage with the strategic objectives defined by the HRP, updated assessments and existing humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
