AWD cases are reported in two township in Thaketa , Dawbon Township, Yangon. Infection initially start in Insein Township and spread to other Townships. More cases are found in Thaketa Township and now spreading more. In Yangon region, there are 77 hospitalization cases till 17 July 2024. There are also unconfirmed reports of AWD in other states and regions. The general perspective of situation is deteriorating.

Description

The primary affect is the shortage of ORS, preventive items, low health knowledge which directly impact the community. The secondary effects are the overburden of hospitalization, low number of health care personal due to the breakdown of health system and potential loss of life.
