Financial aid to cyclone affected people in Buthidaung Township

Director general Dr. Ko Ko Naing from the ministry for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Maungdaw District Administrator U Aye Htut and officials from various departments delivered financial aid to the cyclone effected villagers in Buthidaung Township on June 2, according to local elder Kala Meah from Gwa Sone village said.

They provided financial aids for the construction of houses and buildings destroyed by Cyclone Mora that recently hit Arakan state, he more added.

Officers believe that people will have shelter before the rainy season sets in, according to official source.

Director general also said that fields inspections for the reconstructions of the homes have been completed and there will be further inspections and financial aids for the remaining houses in the areas.
