Severe flooding and a wave of tropical cyclones have left Mozambique struggling to cope with one of its worst ever natural disasters.
Thousands without Food
Hundreds of thousands of people are desperate for international assistance. Displaced and isolated, they have lost their homes, belongings and, critically, access to food.
As an initial response, WFP is airlifting emergency food rations for an estimated 300,000 people. High protein biscuits have already reached Maputo from emergency stocks in Pisa, Italy.
