Highlights

· Over 133,000 people have been displaced in Cabo Delgado in 2024

· Child rights violations are four times higher in 2024 than the same period in 2023 with increasing abduction, recruitment, and use of children by non-state actors

· Non-state actors show increase violence towards humanitarian actors, including looting and kidnapping

· Child wasting admissions are increasing driven by a deterioration in food security. The most recent integrated phase classification shows nearly a million more people at “crisis” levels of food security than last year

· Since October 2023, the start of the second year of the outbreak,16,485 cases of cholera, with 38 deaths, have been recorded in 40 districts
