UMCOR Hotline - Mozambique
In response to African flooding, a Churchwide
Appeal for Flood Recovery in Mozambique and Neighboring Countries has been
issued. UMCOR has already sent financial grants and 2 shipments of relief
supplies, and is working with annual conferences who have partner relationships
with The United Methodist Church in Mozambique to implement a comprehensive
relief and recovery plan. UMCOR staff members, consultants and conference
volunteers will be traveling to Mozambique to work with the church there
to assess the damage and the needs and organize the continued response.
UMCOR anticipates being involved in flood recovery for the next three years.
