Description:

The tropical cyclone Chido made landfall in Mozambique on December 15th, hitting the Mecufi district in Cabo Delgado province. It also severely affected the Nampula province, with Niassa, Tete, and Sofala provinces experiencing lesser impacts. Wind gusts exceeded 200 km/h, causing significant damage to infrastructure and resulting in a high number of partially and completely destroyed houses.
