HEALTH CLUSTER RESPONSE PLAN HIGHLIGHTS

Health Cluster Highlights

The Health Cluster has initiated the 2025 Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) process, with active participation in various AICCG/ICCG (Area and National Inter-Cluster Coordination Group) meetings to coordinate efforts across clusters, including a HPC 2025 – JIAF technical workshop on 26 September. These engagements aim to ensure the health sector's needs are fully integrated into the broader humanitarian planning and response strategy for the upcoming year.

Summary

  • 541,400 internally displaced people have been registered in the Province of Cabo Delgado alone (94% of the overall IDP). The majority are children U18 (52%) and women (28%), of which 74% identified in host communities and 26% living in displacement sites (IOM Mobility Tracking Assessments round 21).
  • A total of 11 Health Cluster partners reached about 25,000 people with humanitarian health services. In Cabo Delgado, around 7% of health facilities are completely not functioning, while 11% are partially functioning. In the districts of Macomia and Quissanga, all health facilities are reported either fully or partially damaged as a result of conflict, depriving around 200,000 people of access to healthcare (WHO – HeRAMS).
