HEALTH CLUSTER RESPONSE PLAN HIGHLIGHTS
On 15 December, Cyclone Chido struck Cabo Delgado and Nampula provinces, leaving a devastating trail of destruction. Cabo Delgado (272,000 people affected) and Nampula (175,000 people affected). More than 102,000 houses have been completely or partially destroyed, along with 250 schools and 52 health centers. The health response has focused on restoring disrupted services, providing critical supplies, and addressing public health risks, including cholera outbreaks exacerbated by the cyclone's impact. This bulletin outlines the ongoing response and coordination efforts led by Heath Cluster and partners.
