As of 4 April, the death toll stands at 598 people. The number of cholera cases has risen to 1 741 (313 more in 24 hours), 1 449 cases and 1 death in Beira, 134 cases and 1 death in Dondo and 158 cases in Nhamatanda. Several malaria cases have been reported in Manica province as well as an increasing number of cases of acute watery diarrhoea. The vaccination campaign is underway and is coordinated by the Mozambique Ministry of Health, with the help of the World Health Organization (WHO) and other organisations. At least 32 000 people were vaccinated on 3 April. The European Commission is coordinating humanitarian assistance from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Luxembourg and Germany through its European Union Civil Protection Mechanism. Over the next 24 hours, moderate rain is forecast in central and southern Provinces. The European Commission's Copernicus Emergency Management Service has published 37 satellite maps (of which eight grading maps) for Mozambique (EMSR348).
