SITUATION OVERVIEW

- The water levels of the Zambeze (Caia and Marromeu) and Púngoé (Mafambisse) rivers are above alert levels, with tendency to decrease. The water levels of the Zambeze in Zumbo, Tete and Mutarara are now below alert level. The water level in Licungo is above alert level in Gurué due to localised rainfall. - Output from the Cahora Bassa Dam is around 3,500 cubic meters per second.

- Approximately 6,257 people (1,429 families) have been returned to the existing villages ("bairros") in Chemba, Mopeia, Chinde, Mutarara, Nhamatanda and Buzi.

- According to the National Meteorological institute (INAM), by 28 March, a decrease in precipitation is expected in Niassa, Cabo Delgado, Nampula provinces, as well as in north of Angola and Democratic Republic of Congo.
