Security Update

• The security situation in Cabo Delgado Province remains precarious and unpredictable

• A series of attacks by non-state armed groups between January and March displaced some 24,000 people within Nangade district.

• This insecurity continue to pose a serious problem in the delivery of basic humanitarian services in the districts particularly in provision of essential health care services.

• Counterinsurgency offensives by Mozambican and Southern African Development Community’s (SADC) Mission in Mozambique (SAMIM) forces continues in the province.
