PORT-LOUIS, Mauritius (PANA) - Mauritius announced Thursday that its was donating 100,000 US dollars to help Mozambicans affected by floods and cyclone which devastated some regions of the country.
The government also said it will send
first aid medicines required in such circumstances.
It appealed to the private sector to contribute generously to the fund for Mozambique set up last week by President Cassam Uteem.
Already, the Companha da Sena, a private Mauritian firm operating in Mozambique, has contributed 10,000 US dollars directly to the Mozambican government.
