I. HIGHLIGHTS/KEY PRIORITIES

In total, an estimated US$17 million are required to provide humanitarian assistance to 33,485 households affected by the combined effects of storms and cyclone in the provinces of Zambezia, Gaza, Maputo, Inhambane and Nampula;

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, an estimated 123,000 ha of planted area was affected, of which 6,000 ha have been lost;

Damage assessments and the provision of assistance to households affected continue. Currently there is a need to procure more goods to prevent a break in supply and a continuation of the response.
