Situation Overview
In 2024, around 600,000 individuals, comprising returnees and host communities impacted by displacement, will require Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) services. This group includes 260,000 internally displaced persons who are in prolonged displacement and unable to return to their homes due to ongoing conflict, as well as those remaining in displacement sites because their homes and properties have been demolished.
In the districts of Mueda, Montepuez, and Mecufi, several displacement sites have already been converted into neighborhoods, facilitating the integration of displaced individuals into local communities. As a result, CCCM has exited these sites, allowing resources to be redirected to other districts with continued humanitarian needs.
