Situation Overview
As of May 2025, the CCCM Cluster in Mozambique reached 152,559 individuals—61% of the 250,000 people targeted from a total of 447,000 people in need. The cluster activities were supported by USD 1.2 million in funding, representing just 16% of the USD 7.5 million required to fully meet response needs. The majority of beneficiaries were reached through key interventions such as awareness-raising on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), the establishment of complaint and feedback mechanisms (CFMs), and the formation of gender-balanced camp management committees.
The displacement response was concentrated in key districts, with Mocímboa da Praia, Metuge, and Chiure accounting for the highest number of beneficiaries reached. IOM implemented these activities both directly and through its partners. Among IOM’s implementing partners, ASMOG led the response with 59,565 individuals reached, followed by APE with 31,799, and GSB with 3,159. IOM directly reached an additional 58,036 individuals. The highest numbers of beneficiaries were recorded under awareness-raising and CFMs, reaching 77,828 and 74,731 individuals, respectively.
