At the beginning of 2007, people living in Caia District were affected by the floods and Cyclone Elyne. Those people lost their houses due to floods. Because of this incident, the Government of Mozambique asked help from international community.

With the response of this appeal, the Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF), Deniz Feneri Association, Muslim Aid, Muslim Association of Sofala and Sofala District Government signed a contract in order to build 100 houses for the people who were affected by the floods around Zambezi River.

The housing project was completed with the contribution of house owners and local community. They have involved in every aspect of the building process from making breaks to painting the houses. That is why we have called this project as "Home for Work".

Now 100 houses are ready to be delivered to their owners and an opening ceremony was planned on 7th of October 2008 with the participation of his Excellency Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu the Secretary General of OIC.
