Description

According to the local government and local Red Cross Branch's initial assessment, an hour-long heavy rain occurred in the central area of Zavkhan province, Mongolia on 17 June 2024 resulting flash flood. Initial assessments revealed that 449 people from 158 families have been affected and 13 families and 25 individuals have been evacuated to safer places, 4 residential streets, 26 housing areas, 10 gers (Mongolian traditional house), 8 houses have been flooded. Two children who went missing were found and no information on the number of injured or dead have been reported.
