The national authorities established a total of 136 Refugee Accommodation Centres (RACs) across the country, of which 53 remained active by 17 July 2023.

Key informant interviews were conducted with purposefully selected RAC focal points who reported on the situation in the Centres.

This factsheet presents the results of the data collection rounds that took place on 3 and 17 July 2023 through phone interviews. Both rounds covered 48 out of 53 active Centres.
Round-specific findings

Since 19 June 2023, 53 RACs continue to be active.

The top three most requested categories of items include cleaning products (requested by 33% of Centres), personal hygiene items (27% of RACs), and kitchen utensils (6%).

The number of current occupants who moved into the Centres from the host community is still low, standing at 1% of all occupants.
