Overview

  • EpiWeek 34 from Aug. 14, 2023 to Aug. 20, 2023.

  • Diarrheal cases have decreased as compared to last epiweek report although it is still above the threshold. Diarrhea is also a symptom of leptospirosis and the flu infections currently being experienced on island.

  • ILI cases increased and still above the alert threshold. ILI has been above the threshold for the past 4 weeks. Lab has identified that we have cases of Enterovirus, more specifically Rhinovirus and Influenza A H1 2009.

  • 14 DLI cases (all from Hospital), all tested negative for Dengue but 2 tested positive for Leptospirosis, Ward reported one Lepto positive case were admitted this week.

  • In this epiweek, there were 11 patients who tested positive for COVID-19 at the OPD COVID Triage, Tomil CHC, Nimgil CHC & Gagil CHC. Ward also reported 5 SARI cases due to flu.

  • No report of AFR, Prolong Fever and Unusual Events cases this week.
