Severe Weather

On 24 October 2018, the Government of Morelia in Mexico, issued a red alert for the Municipality of Morelia due to heavy rain. Media reported 2,000 families in 37 towns were affected due floods. The most affected towns were: Carlos Salazar, Jacarandas, El Porvenir, Industrial, Arriaga, Rivera, Héroes de Baján, Tres Puentes, Las Margaritas, Prados Verdes, Nueva Valladolid, Torremolinos, and Primo Tapia. On 23 October 2018, the Information Agency of Paraguay (IP), reported heavy rain and an overflow of the Paraguay river affected several neighborhoods from the town of Yuty, Caazapa Department to Zeballos Cue, Asuncion city.
