Ministry of the Interior declares emergency for some municipalities in the states of Chiapas, Guerrero, and Baja California: The National Coordination of Civil Protection issued a declaration of emergency for 8 municipalities in three states: the state of Chiapas (municipalities of Palenque and Tecpatán), the state of Guerrero (municipalities of Benito Juárez, Coyuca de Benitez, Petatlán and Zihuatanejo de Azueta) and the state of Baja California (municipalities of Los Cabos and La Paz). The decision was made due to the severe rains from August 5th to 7th, 2016 in order to meet the needs of food, shelter and health of the affected population. 32 people have died in Puebla and 13 have died in Veracruz due to the landslides caused by the remnants of the storm.
