- Tropical cyclone FLOSSIE continued over the North Eastern Pacific Ocean on 30 June along the coast of south-western Mexico as a tropical storm, streghtening. On 1 July at 6.00 UTC its centre was located offshore approximately 430 km west of the coast of central Guerrero state, with maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h (cat. 1 hurricane).
- It is forecast to strengthen and to reach the cat. 2 hurricane intensity - with maximum sustained winds up to 176 km/h - on 2 July around 12.00 UTC, approximately 400 km west of the Jalisco state.
- Over the next 72 hours, very heavy rainfall and strong winds are forecast over most of southern and central Mexico. NOAA has issued a tropical storm warning over a number of coastal area of south-western Mexico.
