On 20 July, a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall, hit the municipality of Chiconcuautla, in the Puebla state in southern Mexico, resulting in casualties and causing damage.
According to media reports, as of 21 July, one person died and three people have been injured in the town of Zempoala in the municipality of Chiconcuautla.
National and local authorities are assisting the affected population and conducting a risk assessment of the area.
On 22-23 July, more rainfall is forecast over Puebla state.
