- On 5 July, hurricane BERYL made landfall over the northern Yucatan peninsula, Mexico as a Cat. 1 and weakened to a tropical storm as it moved northwestward over the Gulf of Mexico. Beryl is forecasted to make landfall on 8 July near Corpus Christi, Texas as Cat 1.
- In Jamaica, UNICEF reports two fatalities and 1,876 evacuated people (160 shelters), with an estimated 160,000 in need.
- UN OCHA reports ten fatalities across Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as around 1,000 evacuated people (13 shelters) in Grenada and 1,362 evacuated people (49 shelters) St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
- The Copernicus Emergency Management Service (EMSR734) was activated in rapid mapping mode and produced 14 maps so far.
- As a Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) response, the ERCC is deploying two environmental damage assessment experts from Germany and Sweden to join the UNDAC teams in Jamaica and Barbados. France has offered shelter and non-food items through the UCPM to Grenada and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
