Malaysia: Tropical Depression and Heavy Rain advisory (Yellow Category), 25 Nov 2009

Tropical Depression and Heavy Rain (Red Stage) updated at 2.00 am 25 November 2009 is downgraded to Yellow Stage at 11.00 am 25 November 2009. Tropical depression located at 6.5 North, 107.2 East, 470 km northeast from coastal of Terengganu, with maximum wind speed up to 45 kmph.

This tropical depression is expected to move north-northeast direction slowly and it is expected to cause heavy rain, rough seas and high waves up to 4.5 metres over the waters of Kelantan and Terengganu until 28 November 2009. This condition of strong winds and rough seas is dangerous to all shipping and coastal activities including fishing and ferry services Heavy Rain Warning (Red Stage) which was updated at 9.00 am on Tuesday 24 November 2009 for Kelantan and Terengganu is terminated on Wednesday, 25 November 2009 as the weather condition is improved.

Malaysian Meteorological Department will monitor continuously the tropical depression development and warning would be updated from time to time to public through mass media and department's website.
