Since late December 2025, insular Malaysia (comprising the states of Sabah, Sarawak, and Selangor) has been experiencing severe flooding caused by persistent heavy rainfall, resulting in displacement and damage.
According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), as of 8 January, 1 224 people are displaced to nine evacuation centres in the cities of Beufort and Tenom, Sabah.
