In Madagascar, several heavy rain alerts are in progress after the passage of Tropical Depression N°01 in Northern Madagascar. Provisional assessment of the national disaster management authorities (BNGRC) on 23 January for Grand Tana (the epicenter of the damages) reports 26 people dead; 47,261 victims spread over 20 districts and about 26,730 displaced people have been displaced in Antananarivo Capital City.
