• WFP flew the inaugural flight of UNHAS passenger air service on Sunday, May 1. This first flight carried 21 passengers between Malta, Cairo, and Benghazi. The passengers included staff from seven organizations. The launch of UNHAS services ensures the humanitarian community has access to the affected population in Libya, a means of transporting light relief items and a secure and timely evacuation facility should the need arise. Further details about accessing these services are available for download at http://www.logcluster.org/ops/lby11a/unhasschedule-and-forms.
