1 SITUATION

Contingency planning continues to be the main priority for organizations in the Western Mountains as Ramadan approaches. However, operational activities there remain at a reduced level and access remains limited for International NGO (INGO) staff. Most INGOs continue to use third parties with good results. Access within the northern part of Eastern Libya remains open. Access constraints exist to the South and West of Ajdabia. The humanitarian community is conducting assessments in Ajdabia to identify humanitarian needs in response to the fighting in Brega. Bulk fuel purchases continue to be difficult in Benghazi due to a lack of large fuel supplies of diesel.
