- Heavy rainfall has been affecting north-western Libya, in particular the Tripolitania region since 5 December, causing floods that have resulted in casualties and damage.
- Media report, as of 9 December, three fatalities and one still missing person across the area of the Tarhuna city, al-Murgub district, Tripolitania region. In addition, media also report a number of flooded houses across the Tarhuna city, the Bani Walid city, Bani Walid district, and the Gharyan city, Jabal al Gharbi district, all in the Tripolitania region.
- Over the next 72 hours, no more rainfall is forecast over the whole country.
