Heavy rainfall has been affecting north-western Libya, in particular the Tripolitania region since 5 December, causing floods that have resulted in casualties and damage.
Media report, as of 9 December, three fatalities and one still missing person across the area of the Tarhuna city, al-Murgub district, Tripolitania region. In addition, media also report a number of flooded houses across the Tarhuna city, the Bani Walid city, Bani Walid district, and the Gharyan city, Jabal al Gharbi district, all in the Tripolitania region.
Over the next 72 hours, no more rainfall is forecast over the whole country.
