This fifth revised Appeal seeks a total of 22 million Swiss Francs (reduced from 46.3million Swiss Francs) to enable the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to continue supporting the Liberian National Red Cross Society (LNRCS) to deliver recovery assistance in selected Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) - affected communities with a focus on health, Disaster Risk Reduction, livelihoods and food security, and National Society capacity building in addition to maintaining EVD response capacity.

There are some significant changes in terms of reduced timeframe, budget and geographical target areas. Bearing in mind that there is no longer an emergency and the need to focus more on longer term community development interventions; the EVD Appeal will be closed on 31 December 2016 instead of the end of 2017. All current recovery activities will be incorporated into the 2017 Operational Plan (MAALR001) as appropriate.

Details are available in the Emergency Plan of Action (EPoA)
