HIGHLIGHTS

NIMBA COUNTY

• A police officer from Gbonnie Community, Yarmein District but assigned in Kakata brought back 14 family members with 2 children being symptomatic. There are two previous deaths reported in the family

• 2 doctors, 1 PA, 14 Nurses and 3 Hygienists from the JFD Hospital in Tapitta were sent for training at ELWA in anticipation of the opening of the holding/treatment center at the hospital

• The Social Mobilization committee held Ebola awareness meetings with Stakeholders and health workers in Yarwin Mehnsonnoh District

• Global Communities has assumed responsibility for burial activities in the county

Bomi County

• Additional two survivors, managed at the holding center, were reunited with families

• Three Ebola dead, each from Gayah Hill, Beh town and Barmo, were buried

• 2 Clan level community dialogue meetings were held in Suehn Mecca district

• There are 10 patients presently in the holding center

Margibi

• Vehicles for Case Investigation & Case finding, Ambulances for prompt referral, and Holding Centers & Treatment Center/Units remain a very serious challenge for the County Health Team
