January developments

  • Eight women survivors of violence and their children were referred to mid-way houses. Case management and appropriate services were offered, including psycho-social support, health assistance and legal counseling.

  • The Women Resource Centre (WRC) project was reviewed with partners to ensure that the centres provide a private and confidential environment open to women and girls where they can feel physically and emotionally secure and access to information, services and empowerment activities.

  • UNHCR co-chaired the Protection against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Task Force (PSEA TF) meeting to discuss the action plan and revise training material for the UN PSEA training focal points across Lebanon.

  • The compilation of the inter-agency GBV data for January was finalized and shared in each region for analysis.
