In May of 2014, Life's staff sacrificed 20 sheep in Lebanon and distributed the meat to 220 needy Syrian refugee families living in tent camps in the Bekaa, Akkar and Tripoli, Lebanon in partnership with U.S.-based Baitulmaal charity.

The recipient families, which were mostly women, children and the elderly who received the meat packages, were very happy to receive the meat because it is very costly in Lebanon due to the influx of Syrian refugees into Lebanon. Most refugees are not able to afford to buy meat and are surviving on little or no protein. The recipient families thanked Life and Baitulmaal for the meat that they received through this project.
