Highlights of the week
Over 40,000 winter clothes vouchers, electric heaters, blankets, pillows, mattresses, and hygiene and baby kits were distributed; Over 18,000 World Food Programme (WFP) food vouchers were distributed; Over 450 newly arrived Syrian refugees were visited, counselled and assisted; The total number of Syrian refugee children enrolled in Lebanese public schools has reached over 27,700; Over 2,200 refugee patients received primary health care services; Over 580 patients were admitted to IMC, Caritas, and Makhzoumi Foundation-supported hospitals in Beirut, north Lebanon and the Bekaa. Over 10,000 refugees were registered by UNHCR.
