A robust response is required to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe. The plan aims to immediately and rapidly scale-up operations and to increase the provision of protection and life-saving assistance.
UNICEF has received 33 percent of the $50 million required in responding to the needs of children and families. Reaching more children, young people and families will require sustained support.
