Official Endorsement of the 2025 Lebanon Response Plan and 2026 Extension
Under the joint chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister and UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Lebanon, the Lebanon Response Plan (LRP) Steering Committee convened on the 24th of July 2025 at the Grand Serail. The Committee reaffirmed its commitment to principled, inclusive, and coordinated assistance, strengthening national institutions, and advancing stabilization and recovery. The 2025 LRP, appealing for $2.99 billion US dollars to support 3.6 million vulnerable people, includes for the first time a standalone chapter on return. The Steering Committee endorsed the LRP 2025 plan and approved a oneyear extension of the LRP for 2026 and the timeline for preparation of the framework extension.
