This report is produced by OCHA Lebanon in collaboration with humanitarian partners and the Inter Sector Coordination Group. It covers the period from 6 – 12 December 2024.
HIGHLIGHTS
● 902,717 people displaced within Lebanon reported back in their cadasters of origin as of 12 December (IOM).
● 178,817 people remain displaced outside their cadaster of origin (IOM).
● Total number of returning and remaining displaced exceeds pre-cessation of hostilities figure by 20 per cent due to fast-changing context, including new displacement in the days immediately preceding the ceasefire.
● 55,000 people have come back into Lebanon from Syria since 27 November (UNHCR).
