· Ceasefire and Violations: A ceasefire was implemented on November 27, but violations were reported, with ongoing airstrikes prior to the ceasefire causing significant casualties and damage, particularly in Beirut.
· Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs): Over 578,000 IDPs returned to their places of origin following the ceasefire, reducing the number of people in shelters by 77%. However, the humanitarian situation remains dire, with thousands still in need.
· Amel's Humanitarian Response: Amel continued its efforts to provide essential services, including health, protection, and education, through mobile teams and fixed facilities in various regions, covering 220 sites since September.
· Health and Protection Services: Amel provided 627 primary health consultations, 101 reproductive health consultations, and 49 mental health interventions. Additionally, over 10,000 IDPs received psychological first aid, and numerous others benefited from social support and counseling services.
· Educational and Child Support: Amel supported 270 children with psycho-social support, social emotional learning, and recreational activities, bringing the total number of children supported since the start of the crisis to over 4,900, alongside continued life skills programs for nearly 8,500 children.
