More than 140,000 newly displaced people have been reported increased including nearly 114,700 in 765 shelters. The last number of IDPs reported before 19 September stood at 111,696 individuals displaced since October 2023.
The Food Security and Agriculture Sector response is scaling up daily, yet the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) continues to rise. Partners are reporting that operations have reached their peak capacity, with many expressing concerns that resources may be depleted in the next 2 to 3 weeks unless additional funding or resources are secured. This is critical, especially as needs and displacement levels keep increasing day to day.
