EIRUT, June 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Al-Rahma International Charity opened on Friday a camp for Syrian refugees at Rihaniyya town in northern Lebanon.
Al-Rahma's camp in Rihaniyya contains around 300 tents with all its accessories and services, as well as a mosque, with a total cost of KD 60,000, Abdullah Al-Ajmi, head of Al-Rahma's delegation to Beirut, told KUNA Al-Rahma built over 1,000 tents and around 600 rooms at sheltering centers for Syrian refugees in various Lebanese cities, Al-Ajmi noted, expressing his hope that these aid would help alleviate some of the Syrians refugees' sufferings.
He also conveyed Syrian refugees' gratitude and appreciation to Kuwaiti leadership and people for their noble humanitarian stances towards their Syrian brothers and sisters during their current crisis.
At his speech during the opening ceremony, Malik Jedidiah, Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Lebanon, said that Kuwait is an oasis of philanthropy work and generosity as its humanitarian hallmark is present across the world. (end) mah.ma
