Continous rain has triggered flood and flashflood in several areas in Xayabuly, Oudomxay and Luangprabang Provinces.

As of August 12th, 4,977 people in 22 villages in Xayabuly and Luangprabang were reportedly affected. In Oudomxay, the assessment is ongoing.

Cost of damage in Xayabuly Province is estimated to be USD 50,000.

Form 1 has been submitted by the Social Welfare Department, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare to the AHA Centre.
