From June 21 to June 24, mudflows in several regions of Kyrgyzstan were triggered by heavy rains in mountainous areas.

On June 21 at 21:30, in four villages of the Jalal-Abad region, 356 households were affected by mudflows. Additionally, one private factory and one bridge were affected.

On June 22 at 15:40, in the village of Toktoyan in the Tyup district of the Issyk-Kul region, 11 residential houses were flooded. Water flooded the yards of eight houses and got inside parts of three houses. A total of 91 people, including local residents and Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel, participated in the cleanup efforts.

On June 22 at 17:00, mudflows descended in four villages of the Uzgen district of the Osh region, affecting 79 houses. A total of 48 people from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and local residents, along with two special vehicles, were involved in the cleanup operations.

On June 22 at about 19:00, the road between Myrza-Ake and Kara-Shoro in the Osh region was blocked by mudflows at the 47-50 km mark. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and civil protection services cleared the road.

On 23-24 June 2024, as a result of heavy rains in mountainous areas, mudflows occurred in the Batken, Talas and Jalal-Abad regions which affected more than 500 families. At the moment the Ministry of Emergency Situations has declared a state of emergency in 5 locations of Batken region. Additionally, in the village of Halmion, there is currently no access to drinking water. According to the MoeS, one person, aged 5, died as a result of the mudflows
