Bishkek, June 3 / Kabar /. 95% of population in Kyrgyzstan vaccinated against measles and rubella. Deputy Minister of Health, Chief Sanitary Doctor Oleg Gorin said today at a press conference. According to his data, more than 2 million Kyrgyz citizens had immunization. "From the beginning of the year 20 thousand 670 suspected measles were registered in Kyrgyzstan. In order to stabilize the epidemiological situation of measles in all regions national immunization campaigns were conducted. Mass vaccination was carried out among those aged 1 to 20 years. The campaign was carried out in two stages. The first phase was held on 16 - 28 March in the city of Bishkek and Chui region. The second stage was held on May 12 - 23 in Naryn, Issyk-Kul, Talas, Osh, Batken and Jalal-Abad and Osh, he said. During the national campaign employees of health care organizations, kindergartens, schools, higher and secondary educational institutions were vaccinated, said the deputy minister.
