Highlights
- As of 24 June 2024, an estimated 306,522 people (61,304 households) have been affected by floods and landslides, including 293,205 displaced people (58,641 households).
- 86 cholera cases and two deaths are reported as of 24 June 2024. Children are the most affected, with 27.9 per cent of the cases being between 0 and 4 years of age.
- UNICEF has received USD 3.2 million from FCDO, CERF and Irish Aid for response; and utilized USD 1.6 million regular resources and USD 1.5 million EPF funds to meet critical gaps, leaving a funding gap of USD 9.8 million (67%) against the USD 14.8 million requirement.
- 3,265 children (1,665 girls and 1,520 boys) aged 6 to 59 months, have been admitted for treatment of severe acute malnutrition (SAM).
- 74,144 people (17,772 girls, 20,042 women, 17,075 boys, and 19,255 men) have been supported with access to safe water and hygiene promotion interventions.
- 145,724 people (23,472 boys, 25,814 girls, 37,596 men and 58,842 women) have been reached with life-saving health interventions through integrated health and nutrition outreaches.
- 7,963 households have benefitted from multi-purpose humanitarian cash transfers.
- 4,146 people (2,694 girls, 390 boys, 991 women and 143 men) have received community-based mental health and psychosocial support services.
- 13,780 people (6,201 men and 7,579 women) community members have received Cholera lifesaving messages.
