Biophysical Indicators

Rainfall Performance: Zero rainfall was recorded in the county during the period under review.

Vegetation Condition: The county 3-month vegetation condition index (VCI) for October is at a value of 75 which implies above normal greenness.

Socio Economic Indicators (Impact Indicators)

Production Indicators:

Livestock body condition for all livestock species ranged between Scale 3-4, classified as either Border line (3) and Moderate (4). Milk production is stable at 1.2 litres.

Access indicators:

Terms of Trade (ToT) across the livelihood zones stood at 154 kg of maize for a mature goat, a 5.8% decrease from August.

Household distance to water points increased by 10.7% to 3.2 whereas livestock distance to watering points registered a 10% increase to 3.5km.

Utilization indicators:

**Food Consumption Score (FCS)**stood at 66.7, which was within the normal range at this time of the year.

MUAC - Percentage of children between 6-59 months at Risk of malnutrition was 2.5% increase from last month.
