Medical equipment worth KSH. 10million donated to Marsabit County

In an ongoing exercise to support county governments, the Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) handed over medical equipment worth Ksh. 10million to the County Government of Marsabit meant to equip health facilities across the county.

Led by the KRCS Governor Dr. Mohamud Said, the initiative that is supported by the Global fund has benefitted a number of county governments across Kenya. To receive the consignment was the Governor of Marsabit county H.E. Ukur Yatani.

The equipment was flagged off to 82 rural health facilities across Marsabit to enable the county cater for medical emergencies at sub county and ward levels.

Other counties that previously benefitted from the initiative are; Turkana, Bungoma, Machakos, Lamu, Kilifi and Kwale with more counties poised to benefit in the future.
